Second time returning and was better than the previous. Instructors are still amazing adding further value with their knowledge and expertise. Similar to the previous time, it's an outdoor course and the instructors make sure we are safe and establish an environment where all participants feel welcomed and comfortable to speak with everyone. On initial start of the course, most of the participants are quiet and likely still waking up, but once we all introduce ourselves and let out the first set of rounds, everyone began speaking with each other, and it can became a great networking opportunity. In my social circle I don't have like-minded people to speak about self-defense. I was more sociable with the participants I was paired with, which added unforeseen value and garnered several suggestions and recommendations on various topics within self-defense topics. There were other topics we all spoke on but the point is, it was an enjoyable afternoon and no one felt left-out.

Highly recommend MedicUp, you will learn and retain information than you would spending hours in an class setting and with a staff that's knowledgeable and have a sense a humor, it's worth attending. Definitely returning for the 3rd course.

The crew at medic up really care about your safety, proficiency, and helping to make you a better shot. The classroom day is full of important information regarding laws, situational awareness, conflict resolution, shoot don’t shoot, draw and don’t draw scenarios, to help you better understand the seriousness, and responsibility that comes along with a CCW permit. The medical training is a huge plus in helping you to be prepared to protect yourself and your loved ones. And above all they provide the knowledge and training to ensure you get home every day. I highly recommend not stopping your training at just your initial course but instead sign up for more advanced courses.

This was my third time taking a Medic Up CCW course including the initial one in 2021, renewal in 2023 and again now in 2025. The classes have gotten better and better over the years with the addition of more and more well qualified instructors in both shooting proficiency and stopping the bleeding. The latter half of the course is one of the aspects that keeps bringing me back. Stop the bleed teaches skills we are more likely to use in our lifetimes than drawing our guns to defend ourselves, family or others. Just like shooting is a perishable skill that requires regular maintenance, so does applying a tourniquet and packing a bullet or stab wound. I can go to the range to practice shooting and challenge myself in shooting competitions, but nowhere else can I work on critical first responder medical aid skills with such engaging and qualified instructors. The whole class is superb and redeems LA County's otherwise burdensome recertification intervals and requirements. I always leave at the end of the day appreciating the time invested. Great job, Ron and kudos to your team of instructors. They are a great bunch, experienced, knowledgeable and most importantly good teachers!

Day 1 at the range was amazing not only did we learn how to properly shoot a firearm we also learned how to “stop the bleed” from a gun shot wound by using a tourniquet or stuffing the wound with gauze and putting pressure. Day 2 we learned laws, watched videos on scenarios that can possibly happen to us and how to respond. Overall the experience was amazing, fun, and very informative. Practical advice for life saving emergency aid

Sabastian did a stellar job. Kept the curriculum relevant and interesting given the short time constraints.

This is not my first CCW renewal class, however I can sincerely say that Medicup Consulting is one of the best, comprehensive training out there. Most of the instructors are former or current LEO, Military and EMT. The range class mirrors the fundamental safety procedures of the LEO range class. The EMT class was very useful in teaching life-saving skills, that the average person will most likely encounter in their daily life. The cost of the class is a great value for the information you will be taught.
Additionally, I will recommend for anybody attending this class to add the Arizona CCW permit as well. When you are traveling outside California, the AZ CCW permit is recognized in over 30 states. I will definitely sign-up with "MedicUp" on my next CCW renewal!

The whole crew are friendly, patient, experienced, and more importantly very knowledgeable of the services they offer. The training’s atmosphere was friendly and not rushed. They pay attention to what you are doing and provide insight on how to make it better. I will definitely go there again for my future training needs, highly recommended!

I took a Stop the bleed course and it was great. The instructor Mason was a great teacher. Very informative and knowledgeable. He was able to extrapolate from class questions aswell and explain the key points of anything asked in a great way. Great classwork and hands on experience.

The training that Medic Up offers is top notch. Their curriculum helps you every step of the way to ensure that everyone learns the correct and proper way of being a responsible gun owner and CCW Permit holder. They answered all my questions and helped me be more confident in handling my firearms. Highly recommended!!

Course was very fun and informative. Too much shooting and not enough sheriff stories from Randy though, shame. 5/5 would renew with these guys again!
