This was my first time renewing my CCW permit. It took several days for me to find a vendor until I found Medic Up Consulting. From start to finish, my experience with MUC and his team was outstanding. Ron’s communication before the class was excellent. He answered all of my questions quickly and clearly. And having all the required documents completed prior to the start of the class, was a huge plus. It allowed us to focus entirely on learning once we arrived. The course itself was truly exceptional. Ron and his instructors didn’t just cover live-fire training; they also provided up to date information on current CCW laws, what to do if you’re pulled over, and how to respond if you’re ever involved in an incident. I also learned valuable handgun shooting techniques and practical exercises that I can continue using on my own. Every instructor in Ron’s group is highly skilled, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about teaching. The medical portion of the class covering bleeding control, tourniquet application, and sealing chest wounds, was incredibly important and could truly help save a life in a real world situation. Ron, I sincerely appreciate you and your entire instructor team. The knowledge and skills I gained from this course have given me confidence and the ability to apply what I’ve learned when it matters most. Looking forward to taking your class again in the future.
Second time returning and was better than the previous. Instructors are still amazing adding further value with their knowledge and expertise. Similar to the previous time, it's an outdoor course and the instructors make sure we are safe and establish an environment where all participants feel welcomed and comfortable to speak with everyone. On initial start of the course, most of the participants are quiet and likely still waking up, but once we all introduce ourselves and let out the first set of rounds, everyone began speaking with each other, and it can became a great networking opportunity. In my social circle I don't have like-minded people to speak about self-defense. I was more sociable with the participants I was paired with, which added unforeseen value and garnered several suggestions and recommendations on various topics within self-defense topics. There were other topics we all spoke on but the point is, it was an enjoyable afternoon and no one felt left-out.
Highly recommend MedicUp, you will learn and retain information than you would spending hours in an class setting and with a staff that's knowledgeable and have a sense a humor, it's worth attending. Definitely returning for the 3rd course.

The crew at medic up really care about your safety, proficiency, and helping to make you a better shot. The classroom day is full of important information regarding laws, situational awareness, conflict resolution, shoot don’t shoot, draw and don’t draw scenarios, to help you better understand the seriousness, and responsibility that comes along with a CCW permit. The medical training is a huge plus in helping you to be prepared to protect yourself and your loved ones. And above all they provide the knowledge and training to ensure you get home every day. I highly recommend not stopping your training at just your initial course but instead sign up for more advanced courses.
