West Covina CCW Training | Initial & Renewal

West Covina CCW Training

Medic Up Consulting provides California CCW firearms training for West Covina applicants and permit holders. Our live-fire training location in Azusa makes Medic Up a practical San Gabriel Valley option for students who are authorized by their issuing agency to complete training.

West Covina Police Department CCW Process

West Covina Police Department manages concealed-carry licensing for eligible city applicants and publishes its own CCW process. Applicants should follow WCPD’s current application, training and qualification instructions rather than assuming another agency’s process applies.

Confirm Training Timing and Provider Acceptance

Before completing mandatory training, confirm the current stage of your West Covina application and that your selected training provider is accepted by WCPD. Agency procedures can change, so Medic Up does not treat another city’s rules as a substitute for West Covina PD instructions.

16-Hour Initial CCW Training

Medic Up’s two-day initial course is $425. The course combines firearms safety, defensive handgun fundamentals, safe concealed-holster instruction, live-fire drills and qualification, California CCW legal education, responsible-use-of-force decision-making and hands-on Stop the Bleed training.

Day 1 live-fire training is conducted at Burro Canyon Shooting Park in Azusa. Day 2 classroom instruction is conducted in Los Angeles.

Training Beyond the Qualification

Medic Up is first-responder owned and our instructional cadre includes active and retired law-enforcement personnel. We emphasize practical carry skills, safe firearm handling, legal responsibilities and emergency medical preparedness rather than treating the course as simply a certificate.
