Arcadia Police Department CCW Process

The Arcadia Police Department accepts CCW applications from Arcadia residents through MyCCW. Its process includes background investigation, Live Scan, psychological assessment, an approved CCW Firearm Safety Course and weapon qualification.

Do not schedule firearms training until Arcadia Police Department instructs you to do so. APD specifically directs applicants not to schedule Live Scan, firearms training or the psychological examination until instructed by its CCW Unit.

Before booking, confirm Medic Up is accepted for your specific Arcadia application and that APD has authorized you to proceed with training.

Medic Up is first-responder owned, with experienced law-enforcement instructors. Live-fire training is conducted at Burro Canyon Shooting Park in nearby Azusa.
